A04. Introducing Myself

Who am I?

I am Aditya Solanki. My age will not tell you who I am as age is just a number. Instead, if I tell you my age then your preoccupied stereotypical conceptions might make you judge me on the basis of my age. I do not want to be perceived as an old man or a kid or an adult. I want to be perceived as just a human being.

I will not even want to tell you where I am from as that too might make you judge me. Like, if I am from an undeveloped country then you might consider me religious as studies say that there are more religious people in undeveloped and developing countries than in developed countries. If I am from Afghanistan, you might assume me to be a terrorist. You may assume which religion I believe in on the basis of where I am from. If I am from India, you may assume that I am a software engineer as that is a popular stereotype. If I tell you that I am from France, you may assume that I am probably a romantic. So, let me not give you content to judge me.

Instead, let me first make you know who I actually am and then tell you where I am from or how old I am as that is when you will see me as who I am and not as a kid or an old man or an orthodox or a rapist or anybody that I am not.

Click here to know who I am. That will probably help you to know me partially.

Why am I here?

I am a human being and humans are social beings. Thus, I am here to socialize. I like to learn and I love to share what I learn. Instead, studies say that when one studies to teach others, he/she can remember more of what he/she is learning than he/she would be able to remember otherwise. I am here to teach what I learn and to learn what my fellow bloggers have learned. I am here to grow.

I am not a new blogger. I like the blogger community as people here are really helpful and understanding. If we bloggers form a society in the real world and start staying together in person, we might be able to live in harmony. Later, we can kill all who is not one of us. Then the world would be at peace.

Jokes apart, do you know that feeling that you get when you are under a blanket on a cold morning? Do you remember that feeling that you get when you seat in front of a heater or a fire on a cold morning? Yeah, that cozy comfy feeling! That is how I feel here. I feel at home here. That is why I am here.

Also, I love to write and thus, blogging is my excuse to write. I could maintain a journal instead of writing here but then, I would not feel like I am been heard. My parents and friends read my blog. Whenever I post something here, I know that they will read it. Thus, I want them and others to know what I am up to or what my opinion on something is. This is my own publication house, this is my own magazine.

What are my articles going to be about?

This is a personal blog. I will not blog on something particular, not always.

Here, you will find things that I notice, things that I have learned, things that I have done or plan on doing, my opinions, my researches. Here, you will find ME!

  1. I’m new to blogging and I like your introduction. Indeed, I found the Who Am I? question hard to answer for those very reasons, – too easy for other people to put you in a box. Better to avoid pre-conceived notions for as long as possible. We are all such a complex mix. I find myself presenting different ‘sides’ of myself to different people and in different situations, – completely normal. But ‘who am I?’ Not something that is learned in less than a lifetime…

    1. That is so true. We are a different person to different people. There are times when we surprise others but, surprisingly, we many-a-times even surprise ourselves. Those are the times when we realize that there is so much that we do not know even about ourselves. I like to believe that we are who we choose to be. But we even often become someone without our knowledge. Who we are is actually not something that can be learned in less than a lifetime. Or maybe, even a lifetime is less!

Welcome to the World of Bloggers. I am looking forward to reading your blogs as it is that that will help me to know a side (or sides) of you. Your blog says that you’ve traveled a lot. If that is so then you probably have a collection of experiences that are worth sharing with others. I am excited to learn what you’ve got to teach/share. πŸ™‚

Cheers to your new blog! πŸ˜€
